No one ever said that charitable giving has to be about dollars. Your time is worth just as much if not more. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Phoenix has around 6,000 volunteers that are helping to make the lives of the lesser fortunate in the area much more livable. SVdP accepts volunteers from all walks of life and religion. The only thing a volunteer needs to bring to the table is the want to help another person in need. Their charitable giving services range from the food kitchens, medical facilities, thrift store management, homeless shelters and more.

There is no set amount of time a person needs to volunteer for. If you can only spare 2 hours every two months well that is better than nothing. SVdP understands that the majority of people have busy lives but volunteering even once a year will make a difference. The next upcoming event takes place this Thursday called Called to Care: Transforming Lives Breakfast, which gives the lesser fortunate an opportunity to eat a great big meal in locations throughout the valley.
