Combating Summer Heat with Charitable Giving |

Memorial Day is a week away, signifying the unofficial start of summer but for anyone that has gone outside today in Phoenix would probably tell you it was already here. There is no upcoming St. Vincent de Paul of Phoenix events going on this week making it a great time to take charitable giving into your own hands.
Imagine living on the streets during these hot months. Not only would it be uncomfortable but the chance of dehydration is much higher. Next time you are in your car, out and about, bring a few extra water bottles with you to give to those in need on the corners of roads. Staying hydrated is a big deal here and with the tap water nothing but contaminated, handing out purified bottled water is a selfless act.
Online donation is always acceptable but it may be nice to help those in need face to face. You will then see their thanks and feel a greater sense of charitable giving. It does not cost much to make a large difference in the life of the lesser fortunate.
