Shaq visits St. Vincent de Paul

Phoenix Suns superstar Shaquille O’Neil visited St. Vincent de Paul, 420 W. Watkins Road, Phoenix, for the Miracle on Watkins Road.

Shaq meet with all of the families in attendance and signed autographs as they waited for a food box. At the event, 1,200 families received boxes of food and hygiene supplies.

Food prices to increase until 2012

According to a recent Reuters' article, food prices will continue to increase by 9 percent a year until 2012. This is the largest increase since 1979. These projections, which come from Bill Lapp, of Advanced Economic Solutions, are higher than the latest U.S. Agriculture Department forecast of 5 percent for 2008.
